Uganda is preparing to launch a nationwide national ID registration and renewal program targeting more than 33 million citizens, following the deployment of critical digital identity infrastructure across the country. UAE‑based IT company Tahaluf, NIRA’s contracted technology partner, is delivering the core systems and biometric enrollment capabilities underpinning the MOSIP‑based national digital ID platform, enabling secure, large‑scale enrollment and renewal nationwide.
